Cookies and Local Storage

Our fonts and icons are served from stampd.eu itself. No page loads anything from an advertising or analytics service. Our hosting provider sees the IP address of every request, because that is how a page reaches you, and we use it briefly to limit abuse (rate-limiting). That is a security measure, not a profile.

• stampd_lang (cookie, one year): the language you picked on a card, gift or coupon page, so you do not have to pick it again. On the home page the language is part of the address (/nl, /de and so on), so nothing is stored there.
• stampd_dashboard_lang (local storage): the language of the owner's dashboard.

• stampd_cards (a cookie for one year, renewed when you open your card page, with a copy in local storage): which card in each cafe belongs to this phone, so your card page, check-in and coupons recognise it. It holds cafe and card numbers only, never your name or email address.
• stampd_bound_pinged (local storage): notes that this phone already told us it holds your card, so it only does that once.
• join-apple: (local storage) and join-google: (session storage, deleted when you come back), followed by the cafe: take you to your card after you add it to your wallet.
• stampd_claims (local storage): which coupons this phone already claimed, so a second tap gives you the same coupon instead of a new one.

• Login session (local storage, named sb- followed by our project and -auth-token, set by our login provider): keeps you signed in to the dashboard.
• stampd_selected_scope, stampd_dash_theme, stampd_launch_guide_ and lk-texts: (local storage): the location you were looking at, light or dark mode, your launch checklist progress, and the texts you edited in the launch kit.
• The map on the location page is loaded from OpenStreetMap once the cafe's location is set. OpenStreetMap then sees your IP address and applies its own policy. Customers never load it.

• stampd_staff_link (local storage): the cafe's staff link, so this device only needs the PIN to log in again.
• stampd_staff_cafe (local storage): the staff session on this device.
• stampd_staff_theme (local storage): light or dark mode.
• The staff app also installs a small background script so the counter can receive check-in alerts. It keeps no copy of pages or customer data.

When you pay for a subscription, a gift card or an event ticket, you do so on Stripe's own page, which has its own cookie policy. We place nothing there.

You can clear all of this in your browser settings at any time. The service keeps working; you may have to pick your language again, log in again, or open your card from your wallet once so this phone recognises it.
